Winner of Startup4Climate
Peafowl Solar Power was awarded 1 million SEK as one of two winners in Startup4Climate, a challenge aimed at startups with ideas that can speed up the energy transition and steer the development towards the global goal of 1,5-degree warming. The challenge is backed by GodEl and Ellevio, two of the Swedish energy market’s most well-known actors.
– We are very happy to present winners with ideas that contribute to mitigating the emissions and thereby contribute to the UN 1,5 degree target. The climate crisis is here and it’s important to bring attention to all kinds of solutions and ideas that bring us in the right direction toward a better climate, says Maria Erdmann, CEO of GodEl.
The most energy intensive system of a commercial building tends to be HVAC – heating ventilation and air conditioning – which account for over 50% of the energy use. In smart buildings, using optimized regulation, this can be cut by 15%. And that is not a compromise...
Plasmonic nanoparticles are useful not only for transparent solar cells, but also for development of biological and chemical sensors. Plasmonic biosensors and plasmonic PCR are now proposed for rapid testing of covid-19.
Window glass with dynamic shading, often called smart windows, can regulate their transparency to improve the indoor environment and reduce energy waste. When the building needs heating, sunlight is allowed to flood into the building; when the building needs cooling,...
